Re: Guardianship Bonds

Joint Control Guardianship bond means an agreement that the attorney will oversee you actions as guardian to ensure it is done properly. However, if a claim arises, no action would be taken against the attorney, as it is more of a good faith agreement than a guarantee. Joint-control agreements are o...

Re: Background check

Could not understand by background checking. If you mean personal history of the person, I don’t think so it really matters. The surety company’s interest is in the applicant’s credit history, work experience, age of the company, and details of personal and business financials.

Re: Power of Attorney

I hope you have cross checked that the name of the surety on the bond is consistent with the name of the surety on the power of attorney form and the seal affixed to the bond matches the surety company named in the power of attorney form. One thing I would like to add that the power of attorney is v...

Low Bid

I was recently low bidder for a local construction project. My bid was about 22 % less than next lowest bidder which makes quite a difference. Is it going to be an issue? Re: Using a cashiers check in lei of bidder's bond

If you obtain a bid Bond, then you and your Obligee are assured that you will be able to get a performance and payment bond if awarded a Project. In case you have no time for the bid bond, a certified check is a good option. You will be without those funds until the obligee awards the contract.
